I hopped on the 545 route along 4th/ 5th Aves for Thursday's matinee, and enjoyed happy hour at McCormick's on 4th afterwards while waiting out rush hour.

Full bar, but can't take drinks in that don't have a cap. $9 for sparkling wine, $3 for candy (which you can bring in quietly). No meal foods.

The weather was sunny. I wore a floor length gown because I love dressing up, but there were plenty of people in jeans and a nice top..

Snacks and drinks are available in the lobby, but only bottled water is allowed in the theater. Palomino, a block down, is open until midnight for after-show eats.

We ate across the street at Rock Pizza/. Just make sure you allow at least an hour for dinning. We parked at the Olympic Garage (1 block south of the 5th ave). Great place to park. A lot of people dressed up and a lot of people were very casual.

If you park in Rainier Square's lot, you can reach the Fifth Avenue Theater through a tunnel - if you know how to get there. Be sure to drop bread crumbs so you can find your car. Sunday, 4pm, looked for restroom, but all locked, so ended up in Union Square parking lot, then Hilton Hotel lot, and finally had to run around the block outside to get to Rainier Square.

There are a ton of great restaurants around the 5th Ave. Theatre. It would be a shame not to visit one.

A great place to dine if going to the 5th Avenue Theater is Tulio's. It's only 2 blocks away, and has wonderful food, especially the salmon ravioli. Service is excellent as well.
