Ticket booth is right on the water to the east of the statue of liberty boarding area
Dock area is not clearly marked. Follow the path to the Liberty Garden Restaurant, then bear to the right to the walking path along the water. The sign in tent will be on the path.
The weather was sunny, nice breeze while on the ship. I wore shorts, sneakers, sleeveless shirt.

Taking mass transit is convenient and quick. The Staten Island Ferry Terminal is so close to battery park that coming in from Staten Island wouldn't interfere with getting to pier 62.
There are many places to eat in the area, there's a lot of "grab-n-go" food spots in and near the Staten Island ferry Terminal. if you are committed to splurging,Battery Park restaurant is very close to the pier 62 also

Be prepared to embark on the Jazz sail/Clipper City Tall Ship again!
There are many places that are within walking distance of the pier that we decided to eat before boarding. You will find "grab-n-go" spots in and near the S.I. Ferry terminal. If you really want splurge, Battery Park restaurant is an option. And it's located by the pier.

if you are going on a Sun/Sat CHECK the MTA website. Thankfully I gave myself almost an hour of lee time. Due to stalled subway train and track maintence I had to race to the boat and made it with just minutes to spare.
City Clipper has a white tent next to the pier on the promenade. Follow signs for the boat to the Statute of Liberty.

You can take the R to Whitehall. The new location is located behind Battery Gardens a block away.
