About Clifton Theater at Sandy Spring Friends School
A progressive, coed Quaker school serving 570 students from Pre-K through 12th grade, Sandy Spring Friends School is nestled on a pastoral 140-acre campus in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland, midway between Washington DC and Baltimore.
Its Clifton Arts Center theater is the prime performance spot for drama classes, talent shows and other special events and, according to the Sandy Spring Museum, it takes its name from Clifton at Ednor, the area’s oldest largely-intact homestead, built in 1742.
