About Hollywood Pantages

In the heart of Hollywood, on Hollywood Boulevard, right down the block from Vine Street, stands the historic Hollywood Pantages. It’s a fitting location: The Pantages has become one of the greatest landmarks of Hollywood, signifying both the glorious past and adventuresome future of the world’s entertainment capital. The Pantages has a history as grand and diverse as the stage and screen fare which audiences have flocked to enjoy there for half a century. These days it’s one of Los Angeles’s leading homes of legitimate theatre (the five highest-grossing weeks in L.A.’s theatrical history were all shows at the Hollywood Pantages) and a favorite “location” for Television shows, movies and music videos. In the past, it has been a movie house, with live vaudeville acts between features as well as the site of many gala premieres and “spectaculars.” For ten years the Hollywood Pantages was the home of the glittering Academy Awards Presentations. The theatre, first to last, was designed for maximum audience comfort, with over 40% of the interior space devoted to public areas, lobbies, lounges and restrooms. It offers modern comfort in a spectacular historic setting still today.

Look at the small print on parking lot sign. I went to the one on the N.W. corner of Hollywood & Vine. The sign said in large writing $5. When I pulled in they said $20 at first, then after I complained, they told me it is $15 up to a half hour after the play ends. So, check carefully.

Must arrive early for parking and the use of restroom prior to start of the show since you are not allowed to enter once the show starts. (Should you be late they won't let you in until after 20 some minutes later) Parking is separate $10~15 so come prepared!
