About Whimsic Alley
Whimsic Alley was created by Hollywood professionals to look like a scene out of a movie. Its Great Hall was fashioned after the Great Hall at Oxford University in England, which served as the inspiration for the one where young wizard students assemble in the Harry Potter films. The setting is enhanced with hundreds of floating candles, long wooden plank tables and gargoyle wall reliefs holding bowls of flame. It has served as a backdrop for numerous TV shows and music videos. Because of its unique castle-like appearance, the Hall is commonly rented for gala events such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, large celebrations, corporate meetings and banquets. Hundreds of Harry Potter fans from throughout the world have reported that they selected Southern California as their vacation destination solely based on their desire to visit Whimsic Alley.
